Ways to volunteer

Here are some of the many ways you can volunteer with Rosemarie's Rescue Ranch.

Please send an email and let us know how you would like to volunteer.

Adoption Events

Volunteers at adoption events are critical to our success. Volunteers handle dogs at the events, sharing their story with potential adopters. What better way to get a doggie fix? All it takes is a few hours on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Most events run from 11am-1pm. Volunteering just once per month will make a huge difference. Children need to be at least 12 years old to volunteer with a parent, and 16 years old to handle a dog on their own.

Volunteer Driver

We also need volunteers to give rides to rescues from fosters who can't make it to the adoption event, and to our rescues who need to go get a shot or have a vet appointment but their foster parent isn't available that day.  All you need is a valid drivers license and proof of insurance!

Make Flyers for Events

Do you have an artistic flair, enjoy making flyers?  Now and then we hold special fundraising events and need to spread the word throughout the community through flyers.  If you'd like to volunteer to make flyers for our events, we'd love to have you!

Take a Walk

Taking one of our rescues for a walk is so much more than great exercise; it's a happy and rewarding one-on-one social experience for a lucky dog, and a chance to take in the great "smells" of the neighborhood.  If you're interested in sharing a half hour once a week or so with one lucky rescue, reach out to us.  You'll make somebody feel so special and loved, you'll be smiling from ear to ear!

Hold a Bake Sale

Bake Sales are so much fun, if you'd enjoy sponsoring a bake sale to benefit relinquished rescues, we'd love your help!  Many children get permission to hold one at their school for a good cause.  We'd love to help you!

Decorate a Donation Box

This is always fun for the kids!  If you can locate a big box, have the kids decorate and bring to either a local vet, a supermarket, a local store or even ask their principal if they can put in the lobby at school.  We have a list of items needed on our "Wish List" tab which will give you ideas of items to ask for.  It's always nice when the children get involved in making a difference for the rescues we can save.

Plan a FUNdraiser

You'd be surprised at how many local restaurants are willing to participate in a fundraiser for the animals.  For example, Cucina Calandra, Paneras, California Pizza, and Applebees are just a few who will donate a % of their daily meal checks toward a fundraiser when folks show a flyer either on their phone or on paper. It's a lot of fun to rally your friends to eat out to benefit the animals and makes such an enormous difference in the number of lives we can save.  Plan a meal out and save lives!  Other fundraisers include Bowling Parties, Pinot's Pallet Wine and Paint Parties, etc., let's brainstorm together!

Hold a Yard Sale

How about holding a garage sale with your family or neighbors?  All those dusty items that you've grown tired of can add up to enough to spay or neuter a pet, provide immunizations, to pull a rescue from a kill shelter, to provide antibiotics for an ailing animal.  Every single penny adds up to help!

Lemonade Stand

How about helping the kids host a lemonade stand this Spring and Summer?  We're raising the next generation of compassionate animal rescuers, what better way to begin than within their own neighborhood.  Those quarters sure can add up in a big way.  We'll even bring a few rescues by to surprise their friends, provided an adult volunteer is available that day.

Play with Puppies

Social Play is important for puppies!  If your kids can spare a half hour now and then to come roll around with a pile of puppies, they'll be helping to socialize these babies and create more confident adoptable pups.
